Fred is our man behind the curtain, however he rarely stays behind the curtain and comes and goes as the wind blows. Originally intending to retire after a long and illustrious career with Gage Brothers Concrete Products, (he single handedly built most of downtown Minneapolis), Fred was lured back into the world of semi-employed in order to cure his restlessness and to get out of the house. His wife benefits from his involvement on our team as much as we do. Fred is a couple years away from incrementally navigating the entire Mississippi River in his Popeye tugboat.
Our fearless leader gained much of his initial experience as a team manager at Gateway. Soon after Gateway's demise, Matt struck out on his own, much like the dentist/elf Hermey in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Matt too is somewhat of a misfit and leads what one could consider an island of misfits. Since 2005 he has championed the cause of custom programmed websites and bullet proof support and backup. Father of five, yes five, Matt pretty much survives on energy drinks and chocolate Frosted Flakes.
Steve or "Bean" brings a wide ranging perspective to all projects. Since leaving the traditional agency environment to focus on website development, Bean has carved out a niche whereby he inhabits the world between design and programming... executing the former and understanding the latter better than the rest of us non-programmers. This is a good thing and enables The Gage Team to develop sites that stand apart in both design and function as a result of effective communication. Bean is a speed junkie... the behind the wheel kind.
Chris is a self-described nerd from birth. He thrives on perfecting complex programming challenges and is constantly tweaking tools and resources to better meet clients' needs. If you happen by our offices after hours and notice a light, that's Stanley burning the midnight oil. When not in front of a computer, Chris and his kids go in search of mud holes which they can bomb through in his truck.
Matt's experience is in developing solutions used to automate workflows across many business functions. He gets immense joy out of using his programming skills to bring things to life. When he is not in the office, he is indulging in one of his many hobbies, including, but not limited to: Community Theater, various forms of gaming, home brewing, and travel.
Mr. Awesome spends his days at The Gage Team providing technical, and sometimes emotional, support to our clients who often find navigating the rapidly evolving technical world a bit daunting. From site and server support to setting up new phones with email, Jamie does it all with unwavering enthusiasm.
Coming on board from The A Team, Thresha (we call her Trish, and NO, we can't figure it out either), is our resident font of talent. She programs, does a little design, provides SEO management and analysis and is a photographer. We are lucky to get all of that for one salary. Outside of work she enjoys running, photography, fishing, boating, and spending time with her family.
